Kundalini yoga classes in Frome
Spring Term 16th May- 18th July 2011
8pm – 9.30pm

The Mind: The 3 personal and impersonal minds and its 9 Aspects

with Preet Kaur

“Every human being who wants to excel and to develop the character and caliber that upholds the values of the soul, needs a direct fundamental relationship to the mind. If we can master the use and command of the mind, we can enjoy this world and live truthfully, gracefully and prosperously.” Yogi Bhajan

Kundalini means awareness and Yoga means union. Kundalini Yoga is the Yoga of awareness. Through the use of breath, postures, mantras and meditations, Kundalini Yoga helps us to face our fears and clear patterns that prevent us from shining and radiating the essence of who we are. With practice, commitment, courage and grace, Kundalini Yoga will help to release our creative potential and uncoil the storehouse of our totality. This Yoga helps to strengthen our nervous and glandular system, increase our vitality, bring our mind, body and emotions into alignment with our soul and elevate each moment so that we become happy, healthy and whole.

This term we will explore the mind in more depth using kundalini yoga kriyas, pranayama, meditations and mantras. You will have the opportunity to practice if you wish a meditation each week to help deepen the benefits of the weekly class.

Do let Preet know if you are intending to attend the spring term. Drop in price is now reduced to £8 for this term. The price for the whole term is £72 if paid by the 16th May. This gives you one class free.

Any one new to kundalini yoga is advised to do an introductory class to cover the basics of different techniques we use in kundalini yoga. Please contact Preet on 07704 636647 to book yourself an intro session.

N.B: Please bring a yoga mat, blanket for relaxation and water to drink.

Please let Preet know if you are pregnant or have any illness that would prevent you from practicing kundalini yoga.

Sahasrara Chakra Workshop - Kundalini Yoga & Sound Healing

Saturday 16th April 2011, 10am – 5pm

£50 (concessions available)

The key characteristic of Sahasrara is one of surrender-the humility that fills you as you bow before the infinite. As the thousand petalled
lotus opens, individual consciousness dies and universal consciousness is born. Grace of God falls within as the creative potential is realised.
Here we live in Sat-chit-ananda: total bliss.

Come and explore the gifts that kundalini yoga and sound healing bring. We will practice kriyas, breathing and meditation and we will connect to the cosmic sound of Ong as we are bathed in the healing resonance of the gong.

Venue: Beaumont Natural Health Centre (www.beaumontcollege.co.uk)

Bookings: Preet kaur- 07704 636647 preetkaur108@yahoo.co.uk

Sadhana: 5am- 7.30am

“Sadhana is nothing, but where one prepares for the day to become kind and compassionate.” Yogi Bhajan

Come and join a community of like minded souls and share a 2 and a half hour kundalini yoga sadhana. We start the morning by reading Japji Sahib a prayer to guide us to our soul. We then practice a kriya and chant for 62 minutes to raise our vibration to meet the day with caliber, compassion and prayer.

Donation of £5 goes to the centre to cover the costs of the beautiful space. if you would like to stay for breakfast, please bring some food to share.

Soma Training Retreat with Nicole Aarons:
Water from the well of the soul “An ocean refuses no river”

Thursday 12 May at 3pm to Sunday 15 May at 3pm
@ Wild Pear Centre, Combe Martin, North Devon

Soma Yoga Retreat with Nicole Aarons May 2011Flowing movement is medicine; it is an important and often forgotten ingredient in our experience on this planet. Simple movement can elegantly express physical, emotional, cognitive, and spiritual possibilities in profoundly catalytic and lasting ways – in ways that thinking and talking alone can never achieve.

To understand and be able to embody fluidity, flexibility, awareness and communication so directly and visibly, requires a depth of knowing and a way of flowing in the world. And at the centre of flow lies a state of stillness and stillness is a state of being, not an absence of flow.

An advanced training in the experience and meaning of yoga, suitable for qualified and aspirant teachers, students of yoga and all those wanting to deepen their practice and for those following apprenticeship training with Nicole.

In our contemplation about a human life the soul is like a river. A river has a very simple beginning. It builds in momentum, strength and in vitality as it moves through time and different terrain to a large out-pouring into the ocean. Life is like that. Life begins with possibility, then we discover purpose and intention which gathers a momentum. With strength and experience our lives travel to meet and join with the larger collective reality.

Each of us is born into a remarkable story that can become true if we believe it. Our story can become true, if we love it. Our story will become true, if we serve it.

In this training we will explore flow through vinyasa and kriya. Vinyasa is about moving into, out of and between postures and we will experience flow through Namaskars and other flowing sequences. Kriya is the spontaneous flow of life force. Kriya manifests as the community of our body, mind and soul delivering on its intention.

The subtle application of vinyasa and kriya brings sensitivity, and a deep inner listening to our experience. A deep sensitivity to the experience of our senses is necessary to access the wisdom of the body.

You will study the language of flow, the music of the soul and establish your body as possessing the communicative quality of prayer. You will develop sensitivity and learn how to teach from the principles of flow and movement so that your asana sequences are an experience of stillness within flow.

Once you source and resource yourself, you become infinite. You become abundant. There is nothing that cannot be experienced through asana, kriya or sadhana.

Investment: £210 all inclusive
