Sound Healing and Kundalini Yoga Sadhana near Wells, Somerset
Aquarian Sadhana, most Sundays, 5 – 7.30 am
Preet Kaur holds a weekly Aquarian Sadhana – in the Kundalini Yoga tradition – on Sunday mornings at 5am.
What better way tot start the day than to clear the altar of our consciousness from any patterns that are keeping us from shining the truth of who we are. It is a time to share in sangat and develop a link from individual consciousness to group consciousness and ultimately to universeal infinite consciousness.
Bring a yoga mat/sheepskin, food to share for breakfast and £5 for the space.
If you’d like to come please contact Preet on 07704 636647 or preetkaur108@yahoo.co.uk to check the date and to get directions.
Gong Bath, most Sundays, 7pm
Also on sunday night at 7pm, there is a gong bath. The gong most powerfully affects the mana maya kosa, which clears out the closets of the mind so that the mind starts to link with our soul and our infinite nature, instead of swimmining in the realm of maya. Let’s make our habits more refined and tuned into Ong, universal consciousness.
Bring something to lie on, a blanket, cushion and £8 for the session.
If you’d like to come please contact Preet on 07704 636647 or preetkaur108@yahoo.co.uk to check the date and to get directions.

Qigong (Hua Gong) with Dario Gerchi in Bristol, Bruton and soon Bath
Some of you will know Dario from the Raw Food Potlucks or his beautiful guitar and voice performances at the Cafe Grace open mic nights. Others will already know Dario as a talented teacher or Qigong/Hua Gong. This is what he says about Hua Gong:
“Everyone wants mental peace, physical relaxation, balanced and harmonious energy, and good health in their life. It can be frustrating, however, to find that we do not always know how to achieve these qualities. Even when we do know the way, we may still find that we cannot follow it properly.
Quigong/Hua Gong provides an invaluable way and clear guidance along the way for us to realise these desirable qualities. It is simple enough for beginners to learn, and profound and sophisticated enough as a lifelong practice.”
Dario is running a workshop in Bruton in July (see below), and leading a Hua Gong holiday in Spain in June. He teaches a regular class in Bristol and Bruton. Dario is also considering starting a weekly evening class in Bath in October. If you would be interested in this, please contact Dario on 01749 812822 or 07932 565994 (mobile) or email dario@gn.apc.org.

Kundalini yoga classes in Frome
Spring Term 16th May- 18th July 2011
8pm – 9.30pm
The Mind: The 3 personal and impersonal minds and its 9 Aspects
with Preet Kaur
“Every human being who wants to excel and to develop the character and caliber that upholds the values of the soul, needs a direct fundamental relationship to the mind. If we can master the use and command of the mind, we can enjoy this world and live truthfully, gracefully and prosperously.” Yogi Bhajan
Kundalini means awareness and Yoga means union. Kundalini Yoga is the Yoga of awareness. Through the use of breath, postures, mantras and meditations, Kundalini Yoga helps us to face our fears and clear patterns that prevent us from shining and radiating the essence of who we are. With practice, commitment, courage and grace, Kundalini Yoga will help to release our creative potential and uncoil the storehouse of our totality. This Yoga helps to strengthen our nervous and glandular system, increase our vitality, bring our mind, body and emotions into alignment with our soul and elevate each moment so that we become happy, healthy and whole.
This term we will explore the mind in more depth using kundalini yoga kriyas, pranayama, meditations and mantras. You will have the opportunity to practice if you wish a meditation each week to help deepen the benefits of the weekly class.
Do let Preet know if you are intending to attend the spring term. Drop in price is now reduced to £8 for this term. The price for the whole term is £72 if paid by the 16th May. This gives you one class free.
Any one new to kundalini yoga is advised to do an introductory class to cover the basics of different techniques we use in kundalini yoga. Please contact Preet on 07704 636647 to book yourself an intro session.
N.B: Please bring a yoga mat, blanket for relaxation and water to drink.
Please let Preet know if you are pregnant or have any illness that would prevent you from practicing kundalini yoga.

New Venue for Positive Living Bath?
Positive Living Bath needs a new home, can you help?
2 weeks ago we reached a milestone: we outgrew The Love Lounge. It’s just over a year since Positive Living Bath was born, becoming a hub for positive and alternative events in and around Bath. We have well over 400 members and a full list of events going out as often as we can compile the information in emails to you.
On Sunday 27 March we had 2 events at The Love Lounge. With 20 guests for the film screening of ‘Simply Raw‘ and over 40 for the raw food potluck, the room was bursting at the seams! It was a standing buffet for many and the supply of played and cutlery was exhausted so some of us were eating off paper plates with teaspoons! What a great success!
So we are looking for a new home for our events and wonder if you know of a Bath venue that can host us? Or maybe you have access to a space you can offer? This might be an existing public venue, or better still a space that isn’t currently used for out-of-hours events so would be more likely to be available for our full programme. Perhaps a meeting room (etc) in an office or public building that isn’t presently used for events. We’d like to make our new home in one place and establish the Positive Living Bath vibe there.
We currently have a regular programme of Yoga on Tuesday and Wednesday evenings, and Bellyfit on Saturday mornings. Also fortnightly Friday night parties for Cafe Grace raw food cafe and entertainment, plus a raw food shared meal once a month on Sunday evening …. And there are more people approaching us to host their workshops and regular classes.
Our wish list includes:
- a venue in central Bath
- space for 50 – 60
- somewhere available for all evenings and weekends
- parking nearby
- cheap or free room hire
- access to a kitchen with crockery/cutlery
- warm (for yoga)
Please have a think and let us know if you can offer a space or suggest somewhere you think would be suitable. All ideas gratefully received
We look forward to hearing your suggestions.
Alison, Ian, Jonathan & Monika
